FAQs

Q?

How do i wash my wrap?

A.

Use a wet, non-abrasive detergent and a microfiber wash mitt. 3M recommends using 3M Car Wash Soap 39000 or Meguiar’s NXT Generation Car Wash or Deep Crystal Car Wash.

Q?

How often should i wash my wrap?

A.

You should wash your wrap whenever it appears dirty. Make sure you use the correct soap and wash mitt.

Q?

Can i remove a stain from my wrap?

A.

Stubborn stains can be removed by soaking with very hot, soapy water. Make sure to rinse thoroughly and dry.  If further cleaning is needed, test one of these products in an inconspicuous area to ensure no damage to the vinyl: Meguiar’s Gold Class Bug and Tar Remover or 3M Citrus Base Cleaner. Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) (two parts IPA to 1 part water) or denatured alcohol may also help. Spot clean the contaminants. Never use rough scrubbing or abrasive tools, which will scratch the film. LI Wrap recommends using a microfiber polishing cloth. Wash and rinse off all residue immediately.

Q?

Can i run my wrapped car or truck through a car wash?

A.

Vinyl wraps may be run through car washes. Touch less car washes are the best for graphic care. Use of brush car washes (depending upon the frequency and quality of brush) may cause dulling/scratching/lifting edge of the film.

Q?

Can i wax my wrap?

A.

LI Wrap recommends not using any wax or detailer on any Matte or Satin vinyl surfaces

Gloss vinyl CAN be waxed, but not regularly. When needed you can use 3M Perfect-It Show Car Paste Wax 39526
